“Detalles” (Close-ups) wire art works
When I put shadows on wire works, I think I’m embroidering. The wire crosses the work from below. With my hand I stretch it until it is taut and I reinsert it downwards. Up Down. A repetitive movement.
Starting the wire embroidery with a knot and finish the embroidery by editing it several times, I finish cutting it.
Organic, geometric structures are created, I allow myself to be surprised by them. They sometimes resemble bird feathers or glass surfaces.
I look for depth, to create spaces, layers that overlap. They are areas of light and shadow. I choose the thickness of the material. Gradually the form I seek appears. I doubt, I undo and I do.
