Vaca - Cow

A work of art begins in the head with an idea. The sketches are real experiments in that idea. The final idea is the result of a long road full of mistakes, insecurities, hopes and learning.

Why a cow? The bull, Spain, the cow, the Netherlands. Am I Spanish or am I Dutch? What’s in me of these two animals? Portrait or self-portrait? I search for the answer while drawing with wire.
